golly...

not since february? ah well...

what life...

I mean for real..

quelle vie!!!

I was just reading somethings i wrote about a year ago on here... man, it was some wacked out stuff.

so bascially life since february has been trying to find someone to date... one particular person in particular actually.

alas things don't work out, no matter how much energy you put into him. sigh.

afore i said "what a life"

i really mean it!

what a year! really!

things have been so.. je ne sais quoi

that all i'm left to say really is

"quelle vie et quel year!!!!"

My Long Lost Loves!!!!

Oh golly...

I haven't been on this thing since October? Where does the time go?

Ok well, updates.

Things happen, change, shift, and jostle; usually until they are just right.

I'm currently changing.  it seems I can't get away from change at all. For example, I'm seymour in my hgh school's production of "little shop of horrors" and there's a song entitiled "sudden changes." If I'm not the one changing.. a hell of a lot of other people are, thusly influencing me as well. One mroe thing, both the timeandweather cna't behave themselves. I'll go out with someone and four hours will feel like 1, all the while it's 60 degrees in january.

It upsets me.

One side of my brain is saying "COLLEGE! FOOD!! NOW!!" the other half, the mostly unused half, is saying "WHoooooa there cowboy, enjoy high school"

I've always enjoyed the moment, or at least tried to. The current, the beauty in every inch.. Yet sometimes I feel like I spend too much time  on the details and not enough on the big picture. we always look at life as monotonous and ordinary.. do we ever think of the way it could be different and wonderful?

la vie est busy.

yet isn't it amazing to know that love could be anywhere? around any corner? behind any door? we write the bestselling novel that is our life, or rather i suppose, not a novel but a mystery.

as tradition dictates,

having trick-or-borschting!

BOO!

c'est la vie, ma cherie

I think I'll be a writer when i emmerge from my cocoon called "schooling". I really have been thinking of the idea lately. I've been writing short stories to submit to my school's Vignette. the synopsis of each

"How to live with a norse goddess"- about an average man who finds a stocky norse goddess in his house and remains naive as to how he should exactly handle the situation. status: second rough-draft. honest opinions- actual story is funnier than the synopsis, honestly. will probably turn out to be very good.

"how to be a foreign exchange student in a country you didn't plan on going to in the first place"- about a middle-aged man who is reminscing abuot an exchange trip he went on when he was 15. he was supposed to go to Italy to study culture and language, but, because of a senial airport worker winds up in Lappland (northern sweden/finland). status- almost finished with first draft honest opinions probably will turn out pretty good

"how to love and be a friend (as told by a dog)" - an imaginary speech given by Fido, a golden retreiver, who was the runt of his litter and impounded before deciding to preach to humans at Princeton. a critique of human mannerisms and general dispositions. status- still in progress honest opinions might turn out good although it needs a lot of thought and revising

i'm not so sure about doing the third story. I have some plotlines and ideas for other stories written down. i'm only going to send in my best 3-4. my goal is to win a robert frost literary award given by my school, but i don't know if it'll happen. i've showed the first story to some family and friends and their honest opinions was that it was really good but needed polishing (it was only in it's first draft at the time).

heck i don't even know if it'll get into the vignette.

ah well

-alex

PS please disregard any spelling and/or grammatical mistakes, i didn't really care when i was writing this. thanks! ciao
